Welcome to the website for our caravan, Driftwood, at 232 Polperro Crescent, Looe Bay Holiday Park, St Martins, Looe, Cornwall.
We think our caravan is parked in possibly one of the best parts of the holiday park. It overlooks the surrounding countryside with a distant view of the sea. (If you stand on the decking looking towards the V in the cliffs, slightly to the left, there will be a glimpse of the sea, it depends how tall the trees have grown!!)
Our caravan has been very successful for us since we opened our doors in 2013 to our first guests, with a number of repeat bookings every year. We have one family who have booked with us every year since we opened and are already booked for 2020.
The holiday park have re-surfaced the road around the horseshoe, where our caravan is parked, I think that those of you who have visited us in the past will agree that it is a major improvement.
Over the years we have made a number of improvements to the caravan. We had new carpet fitted throughout, a new three seater sofa bed and a new 2 seater settee to replace the fixed units in the lounge for the start of the 2019 season. We have plans for further improvements during the 2020 season.
Other improvements in recent years have been new mattresses for all the beds and a new key block paving parking space and path.
The Park is just a short distance from the picturesque fishing village of Looe with its lovely sandy beach, just a ten minute drive. You can walk into Looe, it takes about 30-40 minutes, with footpaths all the way, but the return walk is up a steep hill. Millendreath beach is reached from the road next to the caravan site, that is also within walking distance, however there are no footpaths and the return walk again is up a steep hill.
Our caravan has two bedrooms. There is a double bedroom with a 5 foot wide bed, an en-suite with toilet and sink, a hairdryer and a flat screen tv. The other bedroom has two single beds. Both bedrooms have plenty of storage space and there is room in the double bedroom to put up the travel cot that we have available. The lounge also sleeps a further two people, making 6 berths in total. Bed linen is provided and the beds will be freshly made up for your arrival.
The large lounge has a full size curved screen TV, Blu-ray player and sound bar with blue-tooth connectivity. There is a selection of DVDs available to watch and a few Blu-ray discs, board games and cards. There is a small library of books in the master bedroom
Our caravan has full central heating and there is a fire in the lounge.
The kitchen is fully equipped with full size cooker, fridge, freezer and microwave, as well as a kettle, toaster, pots and pans etc. We have an iron with a full size ironing board.
At the front of the caravan, which overlooks the countryside, there are French doors that open out onto a decking area with a patio table and chairs.
Tea and coffee will be available for you on your arrival, together with a bottle of squash for the children. We also like to provide our guests with a bottle of wine for their arrival and offer a choice of either red, white or rosé.
Gas, which is from the mains supply (not bottles), and electricity are included in the price.
You will need to bring your own personal towels and towels for the swimming pool/beach and also tea towels.
Entertainment passes for the park are available from reception for which there is a small additional cost.
We regret that we do not allow pets in our caravan due to allergies. Our caravan is non-smoking and, due to site rules, we are not allowed single sex groups in our caravan.
The park introduced re-cycling in 2019 and we have therefore changed our bin to a two compartment bin to allow for this. One compartment is for recyclables and the other for general waste. The park also recycle glass and there are separate bins just for glass.
