Welcome to the website for our caravan, Driftwood, at 232 Polperro Crescent, Looe Bay Holiday Park, St Martins, Looe, Cornwall.
Now that Boris has announced that holiday parks can re-open from 12th April 2021 we are re-opening our caravan to guests from Saturday 17th April 2021. Details of availability are on the Availability and Prices tab, I must pre-warn you though that 2021 is booking up fast, there are only a few weeks left, mainly early and later in the season season. Details of the precautions that the holiday park are taking can be found on their website: - https://www.parkdeanresorts.co.uk/coronavirus/
We think our caravan is parked in possibly one of the best parts of the holiday park. It overlooks the surrounding countryside with a distant view of the sea. (If you stand on the decking looking towards the V in the cliffs, slightly to the left, there will be a glimpse of the sea, it depends how tall the trees have grown!!)
Our caravan has been very successful for us since we opened our doors in 2013 to our first guests, with a number of repeat bookings every year. We have one family who have booked with us every year since we opened and are already booked for 2022, let alone 2021!!
The park is just a short distance from the picturesque fishing village of Looe with its lovely sandy beach, just a ten minute drive. You can walk into Looe, it takes about 30-40 minutes, with footpaths all the way, but the return walk is up a steep hill. Millendreath beach is reached from the road next to the caravan site, that is also within walking distance, however there are no footpaths and the return walk again is up a steep hill.
Our caravan has two bedrooms. There is a double bedroom with a 5 foot wide bed, an en-suite with toilet and sink, a hairdryer and a flat screen tv. The other bedroom has two single beds. Both bedrooms have plenty of storage space and there is room in the double bedroom to put up the travel cot that we have available. The lounge also sleeps a further two people, making 6 berths in total. Bed linen is provided and the beds will be freshly made up for your arrival.
The large lounge has a full size curved screen TV, Blu-ray player and sound bar with blue-tooth connectivity and free WiFi.
Our caravan has full central heating and there is a fire in the lounge.
The kitchen is fully equipped with full size cooker, fridge, freezer and microwave, as well as a kettle, toaster, pots and pans etc. We have an iron with a full size ironing board.
At the front of the caravan, which overlooks the countryside, there are French doors that open out onto a decking area with a patio table and chairs.
Tea and coffee will be available for you on your arrival, together with a bottle of squash for the children. We also like to provide our guests with a bottle of wine for their arrival and offer a choice of either red, white or rosé.
During 2020 we provided two 100ml bottles of hand sanitizer (provided by Blackmountain Botanicals in Herefordshire) and a pack of anti-bacterial wipes for our guests, our plans are to continue this in 2021.
Gas, which is from the mains supply (not bottles), and electricity are included in the price.
You will need to bring your own personal towels and towels for the swimming pool/beach (when it re-opens) and also tea towels.
Entertainment passes for the park are available from reception for which there is a small additional cost.
We regret that we do not allow pets in our caravan due to allergies. Our caravan is non-smoking and, due to site rules, we are not allowed single sex groups in our caravan.
In the event that the holiday park is closed due to Covid 19 then we will either issue a full refund of any money that has been paid to us or offer an alternative date at no additional cost based on our 2021 prices for the same week.
